Visit Starrigavan Estuary/Old Sitka, the Sitka National Historical Park/Totem Park, walk along the banks of Indian River, and learn about the flora and fauna while enjoying the stunning local trails and scenery. This tour offers a unique blend of cultural insights and outdoor exploration, perfect for history enthusiasts and nature lovers alike. - Guided walk through the Tongass National Forest - Learn about the Tlingit and Russian History - Visit key historical landmarks, including Sitka National Historical Park/Totem Park - Experience the beauty of local trails and natural scenery Level of difficulty: Easy Group Size & Age: This is a mixed group tour with up to 6 participants. There is a minimum age requirement of 8 years old. A parent, a legal guardian, or an adult family member must accompany participants under 18. Meeting Location: We pick you up near downtown Sitka at Harrigan Centennial Hall (330 Harbor Drive). Meet under the large shelter that overlooks the boat harbor and is adjacent to the building (do not wait at the front of the building). This is the location in downtown Sitka where the free shuttles from the large cruise dock pick up and drop off at. Included: Transportation to and from the trails, a knowledgeable local guide, bear and wilderness safety, and hiking poles. Please bring your own water bottle to reduce single-use plastic waste. If needed, there are opportunities to refill it throughout the tour. Price: $115 per person (not including taxes/fees).
