Trek Description

The Journey: Explore a mix of trails, from the beach to stunning alpine views. This private, personalized tour combines coastal and mountain landscapes around Sitka, with 2 to 3 trails to explore, spending 30-45 minutes on each. The route is tailored to the season and weather, so you’ll get the best experience possible. While you explore the Tongass National Forest, you’ll see how land and water come together, with stops at beaches, lakes, waterfalls, estuaries, muskeg, or alpine areas. Along the way, you’ll learn about the local plants and animals, and keep an eye out for marine animals, bears, salmon, bald eagles, and other wildlife. This tour is great for families and anyone who wants a mix of sightseeing and hiking. Level of difficulty: Easy - Total hiking time is about 1.5 hours and about 1.5 miles. **If you wish to extend the length of this hike, you can add extra time. Please get in touch to request a longer hike and quote. ** Group Size & Age: This is a private guided hiking tour and your group can have up to 7 participants. There are no age restrictions, however, please read our FAQ page for more information on age recommendations and transportation requirements for children under 8 years old. A parent, a legal guardian, or an adult family member must accompany participants under 18. Meeting Location: We can pick you up at your place of choice (your hotel, cruise dock, Airbnb, etc.) Included: Transportation to and from the trails, a knowledgeable local guide, bear and wilderness safety, and hiking poles. Please bring your own water bottle to reduce single-use plastic waste. If needed, there are opportunities to refill it throughout the tour. Price: 1 or 2 People - $250, 3 People -$350, 4 People -$450, 5 People - $550, 6 People - $650 7-$750 (taxes/fees not included).
